I see Oxford have already sold 6000 for the game at the Kassam and we've made it all ticket for away fans for the return game. So far we've given them 1800 tickets but I assume we can give them the whole of the Airwair if required? If they can sell the tickets I'd give them half the North stand as well, to maximise our income.

They'll be allowed up to around 2800 (inc. south and north stand) if they need it, I would have thought they'll almost fill the Airwair as they took 2000 to Kiddy, so it's very likely that we're going to be outnumbered by several hundred fans that day, with about 1300/1400 home fans.

Really looking forward to the Boxing Day game though with a potential 5 figure attendance there, should be a fantastic atmosphere, should be interesting to see how we do as well.

How many do you think we will take on boxing day?

The NYD game should be brilliant, i just hope that our fans will make a bit of an effort because it will be a tad embarrasing if they away fans DOUBLE the home fans. Not that our fans dont make the effort normally

I hope we'll take as many as we took to Luton. We took 352 last year so I think 400-450 this time with it being Boxing Day and hopefully on the back of a positive result against Chester (if it goes ahead that is).

Parking is fine there - their ground is next to a bowling alley where you can go and get a drink before the game. I'd still get there early tho so that you can get parked without any probs.

According to their website they reckon they've sold 1600 for the NP match so far. Also hearing rumours on that site that a few of their fans might try to get into the terrace.

My nephew lives in Oxford not far from their ground. I was on the phone to him last night to see what the conditions were like over there. He said if the weather stays the same as it is, the pitch would be fine BUTthe cars parks etc would be like a ice skating rink and poss. the game MAYBE postponded :( :(

A steady increase in temperature with rain by Thursday is forecast so I would expect conditions to be o.k. by Saturday.

According to 'Metcheck' the temperature will be freezing at night all week. So don't get your hopes up. :(

Oh! yeah the pitch and surrounding car parks will have loads of time to thaw in that case. Book your tickets for the Boxing day game as soon as you can it will definitely be on! ;)

The BBC forecast broadcast a few mins ago is that it will get milder by Christmas Day. The Oxford car parks are in constant use for the retail / restaurant area, so I'd be surprised if they haven't been cleared already.

Don't say that I didn't warn you I hope no one had a wasted journey, you would have thought that Oxford would have warned everyone that their pitch was still frozen and saved everyone a wasted trip all the same?
